Rolling Hills Covenant Church

As a member since 1997, I left this church permanently as of a few months ago. I would not recommend this church. The ruling body of elders seem to control the church without the feedback and voting procedure from its congregation. They use scripture to justify their decisions and actions. This is dangerous and they have done some serious destruction to Gods body.

My impressions, after attending regularly for several momths, is that this church appears to be an Evangelical satellite, that is not under a larger organizational umbrella. In and of itself, not an issue; except some of its basis, let's say governing principles, seem narrow and outdated at best, and archaic, at worst. In other words, not concurrent with today's world, Millennials and Generation Zoomers. For instance, the minutes from one of their executive meetings in 2021, were recorded and published in detail revealing internal politics best summarized and reserved for internal records, respectful of its attendees. I also got the impresion that LGBTQ's are not welcome there. Next, it seems that membership, rather than age, background. and other defining credentials, are required for volunteer positions in general, irrespective of their group leaders.The membership itself also requires details of one's religious history and personal beliefs that seem invasive and unnecessary. Finally, the elders of the church are male only, as are its pastors, associate ministers, and other group leaders.
