I took the bus that starts at 2:38pm, the route starts at palos verdes drive blvd & via Valencia. The bus is scheduled to depart at 2:38pm going northbound. The bus driver was there on time and arrived at exactly 2:38pm The bus driver made me aware that she won't depart until 3:15pm- 3:20pm and, will take a different route because they will be picking up students on the way. I could not believe PVTA will not stick to its own schedule and make me wait 40 minutes! I called the supervisor at 310-345-5486 and he made me aware that's how it is, period. What kind of bus company is PVTA which it does not stick to its own schedule. It's written down on their main website, but can't follow through on being on time. On top of that they charge $2.50 a ride. I'm actually a student from San Pedro using the tap card of La County allowing me for an affordable ride. But PVTA does accept its students tap cards that enable students to ride for free. Seriously how could you charge students $2.50 for a single ride. It is very unaffordable to the young adult trying to get ride and having to obtain a job just to ride the bus and, not being able to focus on my life priorities. In my personal opinion that is theft. And should be audited by city official as PVTA is not correct in the way they handle business, and not prioritizing the student in their community. It is a burden on me having to spend a great deal of money monthly in taking the PVTA, chargers $2.50 and does not prioritize the young adult student when compared to its neighboring transit bus lines in LA county in which they do prioritize the student. PVTA is lacking big time and also does not take transfers from neighboring bus lines. They only accept transfers when using their own system. Making me cough up another $2.50 a ride. Systematically PVTA is a joke, they're policy should be checked and changed because it really brings down any citizen that does not have a lot of money.
