Dr. Sara and the Optimal Health and Wellness team are my Naturopathic earth angels. After the recent discovery of an autoimmune disease following a significant knee surgery, I was feeling absolutely terrible - probably the worst I've ever felt in my life. I was previously seeing another naturopathic doctor who was great, but didn't thoroughly test or treat my condition. After going around in circles, I finally got a second opinion from Dr. Sara, and WOW. Her focus on not just treating the problem, but finding the root cause of it, uncovered that I had Lyme (and co-infections), Bartonella, chronic Strepp, and EBV. First of all, her approach and testing was incredibly thorough - none like I had ever seen before (and I've seen a few naturopathic doctors over the years) which was amazing; but her treatment approach was incredibly comprehensive, thorough, and personalized. She pulled out all the stops for my treatment, ensuring all of my systems were supported during the process, being readily available to answer any questions I had, and adapting treatment as needed. Don't get me wrong, Lyme disease treatment is certainly no picnic, but I have absolutely no doubt that this is the best it possibly could have been. She was also great with recommending certain peptides and other treatments for my recent knee surgery - which is another thing they're great at and am excited to explore more. It's been about three months since starting treatment and I'm starting to feel better than I ever have! I'm starting to finally feel like I have my old life back and like my most vibrant self again. It's funny how you don't know how sick you've been until you start to feel well again. I am beyond grateful for Dr. Sara and her team, and without hesitation recommend everyone to her. The battle with the stupid Lymies is not over, but Dr. Sara has given me my life back and I am eternally grateful.

I am an avid runner, had arthroscopic surgery and after 5 months I still wasn't able to get my knee to feel quite right. I had a PRP injection at Optimal and 3 -4 weeks my started to feel normal again. At six weeks, I ran a half marathon without any knee issues! I have been running since. I would look into the BEFORE surgery. Great staff, definitely would recommend!

Dr. Lee is a legend! I received care for severe chemical sensitivities and he helped me change my diet and habits in ways that have truly transformed me. Not only are me reactions less severe but many other aspects of my physiology are greatly improved. I have so much respect for this business and can assure you they will help you feel better, even if it's in ways you didn't expect.

It took me a lot of time, strength, courage to write this review because of how deeply traumatized I am about my experience here. This is a long review, but please read the entire thing if you are thinking of coming here for treatment. I was under the care of Clement Lee and he not only put my life in danger, but he took financial advantage of me. His actions were unethical, greedy and should have his license revoked. It's a shame because I wanted to trust him & give him a chance because he is of the same heritage as me. 1st off, he prescribed me 17 different supplements without doing any testing to see if I actually needed any of these. I also informed him of how I had limited funds of $10k to spend on treatment (I haven't worked for 2 years due to debilitating chronic illness). After only 1 visit, I spent a total of $4180 (tests, supplements, visit & an overpriced sauna he recommended that he got a % of). Long story short-- the protocol he put me on was way too harsh for the state I was in and nearly put me into an adrenal crisis. I had to go to the ER. This was at the end of May & Im still recovering. I was barely able to lift my head off my pillow. I called his office multiple times, pleading with the front desk that something was terribly wrong-- their answer was always "you're just going through detox symptoms". It was reminiscent of the times I got gaslit and dismissed by conventional medicine. After I went through my adrenal situation, I called the office informing them and they answered "you need to book another visit" which is another $400! Not knowing what to do and feeling absolutely helpless, I turned to multiple chronic illness related Facebook groups & shared what I was going through. Several functional doctors reached out to me as a result-- I spoke w/them through private message & shared my test results with them. EVERY SINGLE of them said that the protocol was way too overboard, dangerous for my condition & that what he did was extremely unethical. I saw another functional dr for a proper consult & he said that I did NOT need the majority of these expensive supplements for my condition-- as a matter of fact, he told me that some of them were making me much worse. He also agreed that the protocol was dangerous, extremely greedy & unethical. This new doctor informed me that Dr. Lee did a "shotgun approach" which is basically playing a guessing game with my illness & often times increases symptoms, incurs unnecessary costs & delays the identification of the most effective treatment. With my limited funds, my treatment should have been more precise to target my actual illness. I also have severe ptsd from medical trauma from conventional medicine-- those with chronic illness know exactly what I'm talking about. I also had a major surgery this past January-- another trauma. And I ALSO have financial trauma. I have complex ptsd from all this that he knew about, yet still took financial advantage of me and put my life in danger. It took me so long to write this review because I felt frozen. I'm sure I invoked fear in him because I asked the office multiple times for all my medical records related to my case & he ended up personally calling me-- I told him everything that happened & he offered to read my test results for free over the phone to see what was going on. He quickly went through my bloodtests, but did not go through my mold or gi map test. I asked him if he was going to go through them & he said the following week-- but of course I never got a call from him. Extra credit: They even mishandled the blood draw & left me a big bruise. I will never let this go. I will continue to tell my story on every platform possible. That money to him meant nothing as he carelessly risked my life over it. I think it's important that I continue to share my story so other people won't fall into the same situation that I did.
