Dr. Tong caught a severe vision problem with a child, which was undetected by an expensive non-pediatric optometrist in Texas. Thank God for Dr. Tong's second opinion.

Parents: this is an investment in your child's future success. Fast forward 4 years from my last review, my son who struggled to finish his 4th grade homework in 4 hours each head-banging night is 19 now. High school was work, but efficient work, maybe two hours a night. It was also a slam dunk, because he had struggled so much to keep up in grade school before vision therapy that he knew how to work hard and persevere! My son grows academically each year, staying in the top 3% of his HS class, graduating with honors, earning credit in 14 AP classes. He is hungry for learning. Academics are not everything; he had time in HS to be on robotics, in school leadership, cross country, and earn his Eagle Scout award.  I credit Dr. Tong and his team, my son's persistence and my support. Believe in your child and they will believe in themselves. Now, my son is just starting his Sophomore year in college, earning a 4.0 in Mechanical Engineering at Vanderbilt University. He garnered a spot on the Vanderbilt Aerospace Design Lab team as a Freshman and enjoyed a fruitful internship this past summer, at a start up aerospace company in San Jose (building space vehicles is a life long dream). He is confident and thriving. Once I learned of my child's diagnosis 10 years ago, pointing to vision therapy and glasses, I found a way to make it happen, even as a single mother. He was struggling so much, but I knew he was bright and had it in him to excel! The time and money I spent seem like nothing compared to how happy and fulfilled I see my son now. I will not kid you, his father had his doubts, the progress is subtle at first and then increases exponentially after therapy is completed. This process takes time, patience and faith. We are eternally grateful for Dr. Tong and his patient, knowledgeable and effective team at the Center for Vision Development as we continue to reap the benefits of the vision therapy program.

Dr. Tong and Dr Tran are the best! We found this place trough a random referral from an ex-intern now works at Lens Crafters. My husband suffered a temporary eye muscle paralysis from a chiro treatment and had double vision for weeks; before we found this place he was miserable and was scheduled for multiple MRI, blood tests, specialist visits, then God arranged this place for us when we were really out of resources and this place was the best that that happened before Christmas! Dr. Tong was detailed and so optimistic; after prescribing the appropriate prism lenses my husband was able to function normally! Full recovery should be fairly soon as he is making so much progress. Definitely recommend this place!!!!!

Dr Tong caught a life or death medical issue of one family member and vastly improved the vision of another with amblyopia. Can't say enough.
