After visiting Dr Reehal with zero beside manners, I was so thrilled to visit with Dr Christianakis who is the exact opposite sighing the same field of medicine. Thoughtful, personable, patient, thorough, competent and just a pleasure to speak with. You are in good hands with Dr Christianakis-trust me on that!

Many doctors are knowledgeable and smart. Dr. Christianakis is both. However, What sets him apart is that he is personable, thoughtful, and down to earth. He actually cares about his patients and will go the extra mile to ensure they get the care they need. The high ratings Dr. Christianakis receives are well-deserved, and I am glad that he is my doctor!

This is the only doctor I've been to that saw me on time, every appointment. Kudos to him. Appointments where stress free. He is warm, kind and welcoming. A seemingly humble, likable man. His office and staff are great. Communication with the doctor through the USC system was prompt. That being said, after not being able to tell me what was ailing me, he did say "don't look into Lyme it is a rabbit hole". This seemed very odd to me. A physician does not know what is wrong with me but knows what is not wrong with me? Long story short I had a chronic, untreated bartonella and Lyme infection I received from a tick bite when I was a kid, confirmed by molecular probe RNA assay. Bartonella, which was causing most of my symptoms is an intracellular pathogen that evades common bloodwork. The sad truth is that a lot of rheumatologic and neurological conditions without known causation are from the small blood vessel inflammation of these opportunistic, chronic infections spread by flea, cat, tick, lice etc. I cannot blame this doctor for not being knowledgeable about vector born diseases but I can say if I listened to him and took Lyme as phony rabbit hole diagnosis then I would be much sicker today. I have been on antibiotics and my tendon pain and degeneration, which was my main concern that brought me to see Dr. Christianakis has resolved. As medicine progresses over the next years and decades hopefully rheumatologists will be open to learning how opportunistic infections can cause an inflammatory disease state leading to rheumatologic symptoms. I'm sure Dr. Christianakis has the character to initiate and learn the intricacies on how lyme and bartonella affect patients.
