        Nice camp site to get away no phone reception

        It's ok! Nice beautiful...but you can't go inside! It's an old derelict campground that's. Main road hasn't been maintain for at least as long as Hwy 39 has been closed! You park on Hwy 2 or near the inside of the old campground entrances! Hike in deep have fun at the waterfall area!

        Buckhorn is always a real gem. We passed through on a hike on March 2021. Miraculously the campsite survived the Bobcat Fire mostly unscathed, but the Buckhart trail was nothing but ash and charcoal. We'll be camping this summer come hell or high water.

        I've been camping here for the past 25 years. This amazingly beautiful scenery is best enjoyed while staying at the camp. Its trails and hiking spots are near by. There's also rock climbing places where you could go. I love this camping ground.
