Dr.Troy and his team, including the amazing office manager, Holly, is consistently outstanding. I've been a patient for 8 years and have gotten top of the line treatment every time. Troy has the rare gift of deep intuition plus immense knowledge. As an example, he once put his hands around my knee and told me I had a torn meniscus (which was confirmed the following year). He's also kind, funny, gentle, and respectful. On top of that, he has the best hair of any chiropractor I've seen :)

Dr Troy Smith is knowledgeable, thorough and I have found he is also earnestly concerned with my back pain and overall health. His treatments work!

A friend suggested Troy, so I made an appointment for my disabled son. I was surprised when we visited, since I got a call immediately just past our appointment time to ask why we were late (we were taking a bit to get inside from the parking lot since my son just had surgery, and it was only a few minutes after our time. No one offered to come assist us). Once we got inside, we were barely greeted and waited for 40 minutes, although Dr. smith was alone in the treatment room. My son has a serious condition in which sitting for a long time is very painful, and we still had a car ride home. He had to stand up repeatedly during this 40 minutes. I tried to make friendly small talk with the receptionist, received a few very short answers, and we sat in total silence the entire 40 minutes, before Dr. smith sauntered out of treatment room and finally took my son in. Other patients who walked in while we were waiting were greeted with excited hellos and even got hugs and conversation from the receptionist. My sons back seemed worse afterward. We paid a huge amount of money for this strange and inconsiderate experience, and more attention seemed to be put into coming back and paying for future treatments than basic human consideration or attention to our basic human needs. Ill never be back. Is it because my son had a disability? I cant help but wonder why we were treated this way.

Hey thanks Zazz! So happy to be able to help you and your family! We have to give credit for the hair to my stylist, Nikki Bowen in Pismo Beach! ;)

Milly, thank you very much for taking your time to let us know how we can improve our services. I am sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations, and I hope the following can answer some, if not all, of your concerns and questions. I apologize that my front office person did not offer you assistance, when she called to see if you were still coming to your scheduled appointment. I am sorry that you had to wait so long for your son to be seen. Before treatment in a doctor's office, it is necessary for the doctor to review the patient's past health history, which guides the initial history taking with the doctor, as well as the subsequent examination. The reason you were waiting to be seen, is that we were waiting for your son to fill out his paperwork, so that we could begin the in-person history and examination. The reason that I was in my treatment room alone, was because we scheduled your son to be seen during our lunch hour, since no other time was available during the day. I can understand your disappointment feeling that your son's back seemed worse afterward. I apologize if I didn't make myself clear after the treatment, when I came out to the lobby to speak with you, that he had a serious low back condition that may have been exacerbated by the stress of the examination. The thorough home care protocol that I handed you and went over with you in the lobby was the best way I know how to calm down a flare up and soreness after an initial examination, as well as begin the home care process of healing such a condition. I am sorry that you felt that your needs were not met at our clinic. I hope this explains why you feel that you were treated in a less than expected way. I hope that you have found care elsewhere for your son. I truly feel that he needs professional care for his spine. Please feel free to contact my office, if you would like a referral to a different chiropractor. Wishing you and your family well, Dr. Smith.
