Smith Flat Animal Hospital

Dr. Kennedy was very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, his front staff treated us so poorly we will never go back. We were barely acknowledged when we first arrived for our appointment. A woman said to her coworker in a very negative tone, "oh, it's a Pug, you didnt say it was a Pug" and proceeded to review her records. After minutes of uncomfortably standing there, the woman said hi to our Pug (not to us) and walked into an exam room. I asked if we were supposed to follow her, she said no, that she was preparing the room. Minutes later she yelled from room, "you can come back now!" Bad start. During the visit the Vet was wonderful. Dr. Kennedy commented on how sweet our Pug was, complimenting her personality and demeanor. His assistant/tech, however, wasn't as kind. She spoke to us as if we toddlers. Was she having a bad day? Also, we paid for a nail trim for our Pug- her nails were barely clipped, some weren't even done at all! When I asked the assistant/tech to clip them shorter, she acknowledged they were still quite long, yet refused to clip them shorter and suggested we buy her a sandpaper treat trap. Uhm, what!!?? ... we paid for a service which you failed to provide and on top of that we were treated terribly from start to finish. It's staggering that such a kind doctor has such a rude staff.

We love it here. We have 3 dogs, all small/medium sized, and all, shall I say, special snowflakesDr. Kennedy and his whole staff are knowledgeable, kind, patient, and very skilled at explaining things so anyone can understand. Their pricing is reasonable and Ive never felt pressured or rushed.

I am so happy Sir Mozey and I found Smith Flat Animal Hospital. Mozey had some bad experiences at other places so I truly appreciate the patience and understanding to accommodate Mozeys need to beeline in and out of a room! I cant say enough how grateful I am to have Dr Kennedy and staff for their care
