A large selection of wines to choose from, all of which are very good. This tasting room is a bit dark on the inside, however this makes it great for keeping cool in the heat of the Summer months! Definitely recommend stopping by for a tasting. Easy walk to Main Street in Placerville, 8 min walk some little hills.

Delicious wines and wonderful staff! The Sagrantino is my fave red and the Bianconello is my fave white wine.

Fun atmosphere and good wines in a historic mansion. The tasting room is in the cellar of the mansion. Tasting is $10 for a huge tasting of reds and whites. Wide variety of wines. There's really something for every type of wine drinker. I really liked their Zinfandel here. Friendly service in a fun space!

Last night I had the worst customer service experience Ive ever had in my life by the owners son that was working at the bar! Terribly condescending i was so embarrassed. I was practically in tears. I stood patiently waiting for about 20 minutes while he waited on a couple that had been ahead of me, they were choosing different bottles of wine, etc. Never once did he look over at me or say, Ill be right with you. No acknowledgment whatsoever. I wanted to purchase a Calimojo and head back outside to hang out with my family Id met there for music, as it was nearing the end of Shirl-Jams performance. She is so much fun! The couple started walking away from the bar/counter and I commented that by the womans generous wine pour, you could tell we were not in Napa Valley. Instead of turning to ask if Id like something, he continued to talk with them. I tapped on the bar and looked at him and said Id like to order something, and apologized to the previous customers for interrupting and said that I wanted to get a quick drink and head back outside and spend some time with my family. He looked me in the eyes, not friendly in the least, and said, Dont you ever do that to me again! I didnt know what he was talking about and I asked him. He said, dont you ever tap on the counter like that to me. I was so taken aback. I mentioned that he had not acknowledged me the entire time I was standing there waiting. The next comment out of his mouth was the worst. I thought he was kidding at first. Chris said, oh, did I hurt your feelings? Did I not acknowledge you?, with the most condescending tone in his voice, and this frightening look on his face that really surprised me. I said, What did you say to me? And he repeated it! I told him this is the worst customer service, and I asked to speak to the manager. I was so humiliated as there was another woman that had been waiting. I looked at her, and she herself looked pretty shocked at his behavior. I then asked to speak to the manager and he said, I am the manager. I asked him if he was the owner and he said he was the owners son. I told him that I was with my sister and brother-in-law that are wine club members and I just wanted to buy a Calimojo. He then told me we dont have any. We were busy today. And also commented that he had been working for 24 hours. Wow. There were other snide comments too that I dont even recall, I was so shocked.Tell me your troubles dude. Hes a jerk. So, after all that time, I didnt get the drink Id come to buy and was now very upset. I turned and left and went back out to my family. Ended up going to Highway 50 brewery to get a beverage. They are awesome! Ive been to this place a few times because its next to Highway 50 Brewery where I have frequented for music, etc.since theyve opened. I live between Napa and Pollock Pines, and my sister and brother-in-law live in Placerville, I was considering becoming a wine club member since they are and have enjoyed it. That will NOT be happening, I Will not recommend this place, and I will never step foot in Nello Olive Winery! I live in Sly Park Hills in Pollock Pines which is not too far, and I will be sharing my experience with my neighbors and friends. There are plenty of other wineries in the area and this place does well, in spite of Chris, because of the location. I can honestly say this was the worst customer experience of my life!! Just terrible. I did want to mention that when I came out to the table and told my family about my experience, my brother-in-law Dominic who knows Chris, told me that Chris had a REALLY bad hangover. Excuse for bad treatment to customers??! NO!! So part of his working the last 24 hours at the weekend event I guess included drinking on the job? Good one Chris! Thats professional too.
