This is just a basic hotel but it's near Kaiser Hospital where my boyfriend had brain surgery.

The staff at the front desk during both check-in and check-out were delightful and kind. The overall cleanliness of the property was satisfactory, although it was apparent that some updates are needed.

There is quite a few options around this area and although this hotel may be slightly more in cost especially weekdays weekends its about the same at all places around here and weekdays you could expect the cheapest stay to be 80-100 for awa less safe, less clean, less private, less convenient location as its right on the border of Redwood City And the more upscale posh city of San Carlos on the main road at 316 El Camino with walking access to 24 hr stores and gas stations and the cross street is a highway exit for 101 a two minute drive from the exit which plus has a pool and private customer only entry onto the property which is a huge difference maker in the safety, especially if you have children you would definately only have a few options where youd feel ok with your kids at a pool and this is one of them. There is a buffet breakfast each day with belgium waffles, eggs, sausages, muffins, cereal, toast, espresson, juices, yogurts, water, granola, oatmeal, and more that is freshly pu out about 6am which is a plus for any traveling workers or people out the door early and it is included free which is well worth the extra cost in my case because next door at Stacks the same thing is about $50 dollars for the same breakfast equivalent. And I would have to personally say the way the General Manager here operates and even down to his professional appearance if youre lucky enough to arrive and interact with him, is something that truly is on a level which makes the entire vibe feel like you are being treated hand over fist the way that really counts, he is the most intelligent, professional, non bias, helpful, understanding, and straight talking honest Manager out of all hotels in the area and i have been in them all...Because he really stands out to me as someone who really does try to go above and beyond what you would even expect and that as any traveler knows, at times what could really matter the most to make or break a person or families entire vacation into a nightmare without someone who is intelligent and understanding and who really does care about you as a customer and take pride in the way you feel here on a level i am truly just realizing and putting down as i rereview this hotel the reason i rated it five star is because its Managed by someone that you can literally see and feel would easily be one of the Managers of any level of this industry and this is an average affordable level 3 star hotel that is decent but the Personable Manager plus breakfast privacy and security for this area make the tiny things which can really be overlooked until you deal with them in the moment you need them to be there for you and the entire staff is friendly but the Two stars ive added are based on real life proven experiences and the proven results and the truth. Because this is a smaller hotel and it is a saturated area and mix of low to high class choices this is the only place you can expect to really feel like you do when you are paying much much more in fact i would say if you do have children this might be the only place a budget family would be able to enjoy and stay close to this place due to the pool which is rarely used buy ready even with handicap lift entry so ... Its a good place perhaps the best place if you like smaller private places in this area for this price range you would be pretty much taking a big chance over the small price difference that could result in a nightmare over the small cost over the cheapest and shady options only two hotels are managed by good people who care and the others really treat everyone like they dont have the time to care or help and just dont care or help in some cases. Here you find answers when needed but a smooth easy private safe quick experience is the idea and if you need someone human you find that all here but at no time are you bothered or treated as whiif your requests are an issue... So to be honest... Sequioa=Crackheads Goodnight inn is managed by an offensive and ignorant jerk who decided to put one microwave outside the lobby for 100 guests to use in rain Rooms: Well equipped up to date with above average quality cleanliness and some useful and comfortable features not matched for the price such as usb hub power work desks massage settings on showerheads vanity mirrors with lighting hangars for clothes iron and board storage drawers and huge comfortable beds chairs and lots of tv options to choose from plus lighting is great and windows actually open which is rare and its an urban view busy 24 hrs outside quiete inside Nearby activities: Boating, Yachting, Movies, Food, Movies, Shopping, Artsy Cultural downtown area within walking distance Safety: Above average with gated pool and entry with keycard access fully enclosed entry which is 24 hrs and safe easy and only a problem if you lose the keycard you will need id to get a new keycard which is logical for safety. Walkability: Everything possible can be accessed by walking less then an hr either direction and right outside is public transportation access which expand its range to Downtown San Francisco or San Jose or train access to even further out in about an hr by stepping just feet away from the lobby Food & drinks: Water bottles, buffet breakfast, belgium waffles, scrambled eggs, cereals, espresso, juices, spunkmeyer muffins sausages yogurts and much more Noteworthy details: Stellar Management literally as he appears you feel like youre in a much bigger named hotel and he conducts everything smooth and fast and is truly an example of professional customer service management that leads by example and stands out in a rough saturated area which is extremely hard to do im not rich im an everyday normal person and in the bay area its very rare to see a person that good at his job in his position excel as long as he has here .. generally these places turn and burn managers or are owner operator who can be rude and not around at night when needed this is 24/7 staff available

Stayed at the Best Western in Coco Beach Florida. This is a glorified Motel Six. The prices for Hotels are ridiculous at Coco Beach. If you want a good hotel, youll have to pay. Recommend staying outside of Coco Beach
