I needed about 200 feet of central vacuum pipes for my house so I googled and found homeproductsinc to be the best deal by at $80 per 125 feet while others were around $90-120. I ordered 250 feet. Two days later I got an email from Corey saying the price they posted online was incorrect and $80 was their cost. He said he can sell them to me for $145. I was thinking; yeah right, you can put it back on the shelves. So I canceled the order.
First of all, I don't know if this is a bait-and-switch tactic, but there were no apologies for their mixed up or even offer a discount. The tone of the email was either take it or leave it.
Second of all, if they get them at $80 and sells them for $145, THAT IS A WHOOPING 81% MARKUP! One has to wonder what kind of markups did they apply to other stuffs.
