Good place to live, with very good amenities. Great service on repairs, a little lax on behavior of tenants. At the end, they pop an undisclosed cleaning charge on you.

Recently took an apartment tour with Aaliyah and it was a fantastic experience! Aaliyah was incredibly personable, friendly, and funny, which made the tour enjoyable and informative. She was very knowledgeable about the apartment and answered all my questions thoroughly. I also appreciated how accommodating she was, taking the time to show me specific features I was interested in. Overall, Aaliyah made me feel very welcome and comfortable throughout the tour. I would highly recommend taking a tour with her if you're interested in this apartment complex!

It's bittersweet to leave a lower review for Homecoming. We just moved out and of course the "deposit" becomes an issue. I've tried really diligently and nicely to interact with the complex as a tenant. Dealing with the management and the staff in the head office has been pretty hurtful. Upon move out we cleaned our apartment and left it in the condition we received in. We did our inspections and walk thru as requested. Our apartment was clean to a T and left in the same condition we arrived in. despite the California tenant rights and laws and protections we have, they refuse to return our carpet cleaning fee. General Manager will say "your husband signed the form on check out so we can charge you" IT STANDS, regardless of what the law says.... I would encourage anyone to know your rights and perhaps memorize all 150+ pages of the California Tenant law book. In it, they can't charge you for a basic carpet cleaning upon move out unless you have excessive stains, rips or damage(please read it). We didn't have any stains, rips or damage and the maintenance manager was able to award the business/complex with 100 dollars for a cleaning fee for a carpet that was left in the same condition we moved in. It's unfortunate the maintenance manager allowed it. While the fee may be minimal and, its the rightness of what he did vs being wrong. It's a personal attack of rights for my family and being a person of color and a woman, it's a daily battle to stand up for what's right. The right thing would have been for the complex and maintenance to say... hey the law states this and we adhere to it regarding carpet cleaning. BUT nope because maintenance person said or "told" us (per his words) it's a charge. They stand by his words vs what the rights are for a tenant. I've asked countless times for the law that says they CAN charge us for carpet cleaning upon move out. They disregard that request every single time and say "u signed the paper." Signing a paper doesn't outweigh being ethically right as a business. This review isn't to bad mouthing any staff(hence why no names are used). It's more to protect the next tenant during their exit inspection so they aren't stuck fighting a system and going through all this. It's hurtful. We are disappointed to not have a copy of the handbook with us doing our final walk through to look up everything the maintenance man said was right or wrong. Again y'all read the law for move outs, save yourself! As a family of color we stand on principles and values, but that's not the same for all. If my husband or I had every single tenant law memorized we wouldn't be in this spot. But I would expect a business of this size to honor the law, and have given them a few chances to discuss the law and make it right together. But maintenance man WINS and collected part of our deposit. Top management wins by saying... "I understand" but too bad so sad, law or not husband signed the paper so we collecting the carpet fee. They won't even have an ethical conversation about it.. "It stands!" Picture included of the handbook and despite it saying tenants can't be charged for routine carpet or wear and tear carpet maintenance man won! If they write "CARPET CLEAN ONLY," just know a charge is coming and refer to the law to question it. The line "CARPET CLEAN ONLY" was for the staff to know what was needed for the next tenant. It didn't say "CHARGE TENANT FOR CARPET CLEAN, but mgmt said I should have assumed it because he wrote no charge for paint no charge for cleaning and then writes but carpet clean only. But top mgmt said I should have assumed that's what it meant. Growing up I was taught don't ASSUME because you can make an A** of U and me=assume. Our experience had been pleasant, until that final e-mail move out came through. It turned really nasty. But for now we await half of our 600 deposit to be returned and continue to stand on values.
