My husband and I stayed here for our 19th anniversary and completely enjoyed our experience. We had massages, an in room jacuzzi, excellent dinner on sight at Scott's Sea Food. Most of all we relaxed and were able to unwind and disconnect from work for a night...

Le Rivage has been our home away from home since 2009. We have stayed here multiple times through the years and very much enjoy this hotel. We are treated with great customer service and were always well taken care of by staff and management. I considered it the Nordstrom of hotels in Sacramento. That was until the new management changed. Since the newest management has come to Le Rivage, my husband and I have experienced a barrage of issues with this hotel and the customer service has been driven down a lot. More recent experiences include the housekeeping coming into our room after check-in and covering our down comforter with a sheet after noticing our personal belongings included some adult items that we left on our nightstand. We had put our DND sign on the door before we left so we were horrified to see that someone had come in and invaded our privacy AND made us feel like we were doing something wrong in bringing intimate products to our romantic getaway by covering our whole bed with a sheet. That same stay, we extended our checkout time to noon so we could have breakfast at Scott's and enjoy our time there. However, the cleaning staff came barging in as we were dressing and half naked. I yelled for them to leave and again, there was a DND sign on the door. They obviously wanted us to leave sooner. We cancelled breakfast plans and asked for a luggage cart, which I had to call three times for and waiting 35 minutes to get to our room. I reported this to the manager, which apologized and took $25 off of our bill. Regardless, it was unlike anything I had experienced at Le Rivage and it left a bad taste in our mouths. Our last stay there was riddled with the same lack of customer service and disorganized staff. Again waited for a luggage cart for over 30 minutes and after multiple phone calls to the concierge. When we lamented the lack of customer service, the front desk was unmoved. Last time we called to book a room and give this place a chance after a hiatus, we were told that "preferred members no longer get a discount." I think this was the last impression we needed to make the decision that Le Rivage was no longer our destination. Their prices have also inflated- which is hilarious considering it is not the experience it once was, an experience that was worth the prices they charge. Not sure who the new management, but they fall par to whoever was running this place from 2009-2010. Since the beginning of 2011, it's been nothing but rude, bottom of the barrel service and we will take our business elsewhere from now on. Sad but true.
