Alison is easy to work with because she cares. She listens to feedback about what I need as well as how something makes me feel. She has a way about her that makes me feel she values me and our working relationship. That has allowed me to use the tools she has provided to dig really deep and have breakthroughs and insight that give me a feeling of self-worth that had been missing for me throughout my lifetime.

I've consistently had weekly sessions with Allison for about 5 years. In that time she has provided the support I needed to improve my mental health and work through some trauma. She is certified in EMDR. Some EMDR sessions can be intense but Allison is very compassionate and always listens to my needs. She's been patient when I've been resistant to making progress because at time during the previous 5 years life was just really tough for me. I have always felt respected and supported by her.

Allison is a compassionate professional. In working with her, she supported me in setting goals and held me accountable to those goals. She introduced me to methods to address my concerns which proved to be very effective. A key part of this has been connecting my mind and emotions with my body, which leads to enhanced self awareness and sense of empowerment and control. Furthermore, she made the transition seamless in moving from in person to video conference visits. She has also been flexible in scheduling, which is also very helpful. if a counselor is a good fit can take a few visits, but I felt comfortable with her from our first meeting.
