Central Transport

UPDATE 10/9/2023: I had overall about 25 shipments with Central in the past 3 years. Every single one was picked up at-least 2 days late, at times, 4-10 days late. Original: I had three LTL shipments with them in the last few months. On average, each shipment was picked up 1 week late, despite me calling EVERYDAY and the customer line assuring me it was assigned the next day. My shipment was clearly labeled residential with liftgate, I even called and made sure. This shipment they assigned a driver with NO liftgate to a residential pickup every-single-day for nearly two weeks, despite calling EVERYDAY to confirm the BOL & Pickup was clearly assigned as a residential liftgate pickup. I also gave them 8am to 10pm pickup hours, they couldn't make it for nearly 2 weeks in a 14 hour pickup window. I have already reported them to my business associates who provided me with the shipping carrier though partnered programs. I understand delays during the issues we are facing in Q4 2021, I get a few days delay, I get mistakes, but Reddaway, R&L, YRC, none of them as are as late and incompetent as CTI. Whatever you do, just get another carrier for LTL shipments, especially if you have anything to do with residential shipments.

TERRIBLE! I wish I didn't have to leave 1 star, would leave negative 5 stars. Its the 3rd day and after being put on "priority pickup list" after the first 2 days of them not picking up, they still said they are full and it would get pushed back to another day. Worst service ever. Will never use them again.

I work for a small business and we ship LTL freight. Mistakes / damages are unfortunately inevitable if you ship enough pallets. Their claims department is unreachable by phone. Customer service is a brick wall. Good luck getting timely answers for you or your customers when it matters. Use target lee Jennings if you are in CA or AZ.

We have had multiple drivers from this company refuse to pull into our lot to make a delivery.  We get up to 5 deliveries a day from various trucking companies (Saia, Cross Country Freight, Fedex Freight, Estes, R+L Carriers, ABF Freight & XPOLogistics) who never have any issues pulling into our lot & dropping off our supplies.  Most every driver from Central Transport that we've dealt with, however, can't seem to do it, are unqualified to do it or simply just unwilling to do it.  According to the supervisor I talked with today, management has no problem with that.  We have unfortunately discovered that if you need something delivered competently, Avoid Central Transport!!!!
