Got a pre-purchase inspection for a car that I'm planning to purchase in San Diego. I was blown away on the detail and the comprehensive work done to ensure I'm making an inform decision on the GTI that I'm purchasing. Micheal (owner) went over from interior/exterior, mechanics of the engine and suspension and undercarriage review with condition ratings and recommendations. The dude sold me two catalytic converters + labor back in high school, three mechanics and thousands of dollars later I got a set of custom length ignition cables to clear the headers which were causing the issue. I mentioned three mechanics later he wasnt the only one to pull this, seems like standard practice in this line of work. Eventually in college this led to a head gasket being blown and I took it to the most expensive mechanic shop in town and said fix whatevers wrong and whatever caused it. The actual fix was like $200 versus totaling my first car three times over. Moral of the story: Bring an adult to this shop or a friend who knows about cars.
