Food was boring and plain. Portions were very small.

The food was great and the atmosphere was really cool! Hudson, our server, was awesome. Cant wait to come back.

During a recent visit to a The Gaslamp Fish house , unfortunately, my group and I experienced significant issues in the handling of our service. We observed what appeared to be racial profiling by the manager, resulting in delays and subpar treatment compared to other customers. Our orders took an unusually long time to arrive, and upon doing so, the food was not up to standard - seemingly rushed and lacking appropriate temperature. Furthermore, when requesting the check, we encountered further difficulties. While our server initially mentioned the ability to split the bill into seven checks, we were later accosted by the manager for purportedly overwhelming our waiter. Then she threatened to involve external parties if we did not comply with a specific payment method was highly unprofessional and uncalled for. When attempting to address the situation with the manager, Nina, her responses were dismissive and unhelpful. Upon expressing intentions to leave a review, she did not display willingness to address the concerns raised, further indicating a lack of regard for customer satisfaction. In conclusion, the behavior exhibited by the manager Nina during this interaction was disappointing and reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. Such treatment, including the implied bias and the unwarranted threat, is entirely unacceptable. People of color should be aware of these issues before choosing to dine at this particular establishment.
