Handy rooter and plumbing

We encountered a hot water issue in our kitchen sink and reached out to several plumbers for assistance. One of the initial plumbers who assessed the problem noted a potential leakage risk in our drainage pipe and suggested replacing it with an ABS pipe to prevent future issues. However, their quote for this repair, along with replacing our main water valve, was quite high. Seeking another opinion, we contacted Handy, and were glad we did. Their quote was much more reasonable compared to others we received. Despite the competitive pricing, Handy didnt compromise on quality. They efficiently replaced our drainage pipe, main water valve and kitchen sink faucet, ensuring everything was in working order. What impressed us most was Handys honesty and transparency. Unlike some other contractors, they didnt push unnecessary repairs or try to upsell us. In fact, when we inquired about replacing our bathroom sink, they advised against it unless absolutely necessary, saving us both time and money. Overall, we were highly satisfied with Handys professionalism, fair pricing, and genuine recommendations. If youre in need of plumbing services without the fear of being overcharged, Handy is the way to go.

I despise giving a bad review. But these people overcharged me. Likely, you won't pay the estimate you were given. You may end up paying a lot more. The callout was to replace the toiled bowl and, in the process, they advised that the angle stop and supply line required replacing because the stop was stuck. Fair enough, but they charged us $175 (25 part + 150 labor) just for that! My wife who attended accepted the charge. I found it over the top, so I called them the next day and I asked them how this charge is justified. The owner said that yes, it was a 5-minute job but they would not charge extra if something was going wrong and they warranty the work for a year. I'm not convinced. The charge is as if something WILL go wrong, every time. I used another plumber to replace a second toilet bowl in my house and they charged me $65 for replacing the angle stop and supply line. And the job was just as good. Quality work. 2 stars

Water heater was not igniting and they got thermocouple changed in few hours on a weekend. They were reasonably compared to other contractors. Thank you for your service.
