Mathnasium

I have switched my kid from Kumon to Mathnasium for about two months now as Mathnasium does offer a more one-on-one help and concept explanation with a onsite tutor and up to 4 students per teacher, vs Kumon is a self-learning model with a lot of repetitive drill and kill memorization method with daily worksheet to focus on speedy answers. Plus, Kumon doesn't have a geometry curriculum or flexible, customized or specific subject that my kid needs help with his high school homework that Mathnasium offers. Overall, my kid finds that Mathnasium has helped him master his challenging high school geometry concepts.

My son has been going to Mathnasium since he was 5 years old this past Jan. He was considered the youngest client theyve ever had. He is now in 1st grade and has been doing extremely well in math; he scores A+ in all of his math assignments and tests in school. Furthermore, he is advanced compare to his peers and his teacher has noted and commented on his ability to do math quickly in his head. While his peers are beginning to learn addition and subtraction by using single digits, he knows how to calculate double and triple digits, halves vs wholes, telling time using quarter time and half time, and word problems as some of the examples he has learned in Mathnasium. Because of Mathnasium, my son has a solid foundation of math and loves going to his sessions especially the monthly bingos and spinning the wheel for prizes. The tutors/teachers there are very patient, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend Mathnasium on Curtner. Well worth the investment!

We have our daughter in the program as a result of falling behind in math during this last school year. She is now all caught up where she needs to be and then some! We love the program and the tutors! Theyre so patient and courteous. We get progress reports and they are extremely accommodating on appointments. Our daughter is always smiling when we pick her up. Thank you so much for all you do!
