Cal Poly Health Services

The Cal Poly Health Center is truly one of a kind. Every time I visit I am amazed in the quality and quantity of services that they offer. The Medical Assistant's, Nurses, and Providers are all so kind, and truly care about the well-being of our campus. The pharmacy offers so many discounted necessities and everyone there couldn't be sweeter. Setting up an appointment is always easy and supportive with the help of the front desk. While the winter time includes slightly longer wait times in their walk-in clinic with the rising numbers of colds, everyone there really tries to go as quick as possible while also being thorough. 10/10 experience every time at the health center.

Always quick and helpful. They even take walk in and you can get along done here. Blood tests, doctor referrals, buy stuff from the pharmacy and much more. Always have little goodies for you too and a peaceful doodling wall. Staff js so friendly!

Went there twice for the same illness (most likely strep), couldn't assess me properly, and recommended me to go to Urgent Care after second time. The REASON: Lab was closing. What kind of health care service tells you to come back tomorrow morning after you tell them you been bedridden sick for the last 4 days and need a diagnosis fast since as it's mid-term season at Cal Poly. Waste of time going here. If you want a real doctor that provides you with the right care please, PLEASE just go to Urgent Care. Much faster and more effective. Close to campus too.

Everyone I know has only had horrible experiences. Had a doctor tell me to "hurry it up" because she had other patients; meanwhile, she was 15 minutes late. She then proceeded to tell me EVERY CONCERN I HAD was something for a specialist, and had no referrals for me. Just said go somewhere else. To top it off, after asking questions and telling me to hurry up my answers, she gave a 10 minute speech about vaping at the end. On the bright side, the pharmacy services are inexpensive and very quick. Also the specialist for counseling is good at her job, it's a totally different environment.
