we are all so incredibly grateful to all of the folks at Fusion San Mateo who have worked tirelessly with our family to have our son successfully complete his high school career and graduate. All of the teachers and staff at Fusion are incredibly kind and patient as well as super creative in the the way they meet, reach and teach the students. Their collective ability to think outside the box is commendable! I highly recommend Fusion to any family looking to educate their child in a compassionate and encouraging environment.

What a god-send Fusion has been! Our daughter struggled in elementary school, and really needed one-on-one attention. We began Fusion in 6th grade, and couldn't be happier. Her confidence has grown, her understanding of complex historic and scientific topics has grown. We are so pleased! Although she is learning in-person now, the school did an amazing job during distance learning. She never lost a single day of her education! Thank you, Fusion and all the talented teachers and administrators that are there every day for our kids!

We knew right away.  The moment we walked into Fusion Academy with our (then) 5th grader, it was clear that this was a special place.  Not going to lie, I was having doubts as I walked up the cement steps and into the large office building looking for Suite 128. Where was the campus? The playground? The lunchroom? How is this a school?  But once that door opened and we entered into the Fusion world, it didn't take long for us to "get it". The energy is palpable- students, teachers, and staff are happy to be at Fusion.  The walls are covered in creativity- student artwork, projects, photos, and fun. This is a unique school experience- there is no doubt: One-to-one instruction, Homework Cafe, flexible schedule, field trips, and yoga?! Yes, please.  This school isn't for everyone, but everyone that attends is there because their previous school was not fitting their needs.  At Fusion, the needs of the students are absolutely met.  The team uses a whole-child approach to educating and no one falls through the cracks.  Whether your child needs additional academic support, a non-distracting learning environment, a low-anxiety atmosphere, or simply a smaller more intimate school experience-  Fusion will meet those needs and beyond.  This is our second year at Fusion and our now 7th grader is thriving. Academically he is being challenged, and with their mastery philosophy, he goes at the pace of his learning. He can delve deeper and get extra support when needed and then move on when he's mastered a concept. Writing skills are worked on daily across disciplines, he is building executive functioning and study skills, learning to advocate for himself,  and his teachers customize projects based on his passions- How about coding a video game to demonstrate the Ancient Mesopotamian farming systems?! Or design a Minecraft world to illustrate the 4 settings in his language arts novel! A creative poster to demonstrate simple & compounded interest equations for math.  This is hands-on, creative, innovative learning. The daily communication from teachers keeps me in the loop not only on his academic progress but his social and emotional well-being. My son is excited to wake up and go to middle school, spend time with his Fusion Family and is doing great. Many social opportunities to connect throughout the day, and a parent community that comes together to pitch in when there are opportunities to support the students and staff. Don't hesitate to explore the options of "what could be" when you break down some of the traditional, standardized boundaries of education... come check out the magic happening at Fusion San Mateo.

I would've give no stars. Bur have no choice..... but IT IS the worst place to bring your kids in.Starting with the principal. They look at your wallet first, then they find the way to push you in.Poor teachers on a cheap salary, working just a few hours, with no benefits, while at same time they charge you more than 10 times of what a teacher earns per hour. They never follow through, the loose documents and then say that you never sent them. When in fact they did. (Someone else confirm it with me)They have good ideas about teaching but they went money hungry with the franchise idea, they lost touch.I'm telling you. Do not bring your child here. 2 million dollars later. You'll notice that your child actually never learn anything. Even if he got many cheers, and even good grades(Just crap)
