the in-person customer service is great. but over the phone customer service, is why I'm giving oportun 1 Star. (I'm a returning customer 1st experience wasn't great but decided to give this place a 2nd try)3/4: I applied and got pre-approved they mentioned the disbursement will be deposited within 1-3 business days which was fine. Here comes Monday and Tuesday, I check my account nothing yet which was fine. I decided to wait until Wednesday hoping it'll be there nope nothing so during my lunch break I decided to call to get some updates. The first operator was nice and she said explained the process and wait it out until tomorrow (Thursday) because it was only processed on Monday. I then said okay I'll wait. Here comes Thursday, nothing then I called at 2pm (keep in mind the time i called) the 2nd operator didn't throughly check on what was going on and explained the same thing from what the 1st operator told me and that sometimes banks take up 5 business days. (Slowly feeling getting the run around. misinformed) AND was quick to get off the phone and not deal with me. here comes Friday i called the 3rd operator during my lunch break just tell me that THEY JUST FOUND OUT YESTERDAY they received a reflection letter from my bank and didn't go into details why it was rejected and then told me they will send me a check through FEDEX which will probably take another week to receive. I asked okay is there a way to expedite it? And he said no. At this point I lost all my patience. I was NEVER notified. My thought process was if they just found out YESTERDAY HOW COME THE 2nd operator didn't tell me and didn't start processing the check YESTERDAY and now I'll have wait even longer. I then asked to speak to the manager she told me the same thing and said they FOUND OUT YESTERDAY MORNING they received the rejection letter!!!!! I told the manger if that was the case WHY WASNT I TOLD WHEN I CALLED YESTERDAY AT 2PM?! I was getting the run around and even if I haven't received the funds, you guys are still charging me interest and if this was an emergency and I needed the money asap, I WOULD'VE BEEN FUCKED because of you guys. The manager didn't want to own up on their own fuck up and said no it's not our fault and just said they will talk to their employees to make sure it doesn't happen again. I said technically yeah it is. You guys were notified yesterday MORNING and the 2nd operator that I called at 2PM, failed to mention ANYTHING to me and was quick to get off the phone. So now here comes FRIDAY the check is JUST BEING PROCESSED TODAY. Then the manager said oh no, since we received it yesterday it automatically sends through FedEx. As soon as we receive the tracking number from Fedex, we will send you the tracking number. Overall, if you need money asap, and this shit happens to you, you're fucked and even if you don't have the funds, they have no problem continuing to charge you interest. this place is a joke. LOLthis will be the last time I will ever give this place a chance after I pay off this loan, I will NEVER EVER come back nor recommend this place!! Let's see how long it will take until I receive this check.
