Avania Inn of Santa Barbara

The Inn is 13mins past our destination, but their reviews put us in this place for a night. Small pool but enough for a night, hot tub is hot enough, friendly staff. Our room is big enough for 4 of us, 2 queens. The sink is separated from shower+toilet, a plus, since the bathroom is not tied up by 1 person. The mini frig wasn't cold enough, but we just need a night of good sleep, comfortable beds. Room 106 is 2 steps away from parking (included) for quick unload n load. Breakfast scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, self-prep waffles, juice, milk, cold serials, oranges, bananas, pasteries = did the job for us, to continue our journey south. The machine with hot chocolate, coffee, water, etc is next to front desk. They even have sugar cookies at night. Rooms: 2 queens fit the room, big enough for 4. Like the bathroom setup Food & drinks: Hot scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns are way more than continental breakfast that we've seen at others

Lucky for me to have discovered a treasure in Santa Brbara. This place has a cool vibe with genuine good morning greetings! Family-friendly, yet stylish with the best welcoming staff. The manager Jake made us feel so welcome. The Breakfast staff Jamaru, Claudia and Jasmin there to let me back in after an early morning walkvery attentive .

The hotel itself is nice and the location is great - only issue I had was when I was called by the man working at the front desk at 11:17am on my day of checkout, while getting ready for a lunch meeting. He told me check out was at 11:00am and when I advised I would be out of there in 20 minutes - I was told that if I did not leave by 11:30 - I would be charged an additional $25. Considering I had spent a week in that hotel while in town for work and spent more than $1,400 to be there - it didnt seem reasonable not to give me a few extra minutes while I was getting ready. Instead, I had to rush out so that I was not charged. Pretty inconvenient and I could have used the extra time rather than rush - felt that was definitely an annoyance. I do want to recognize the gentleman that was working late night at the desk - he let me in after hours to use the microwave to heat up some food and was very nice.
