image The dentist Dr. Andrew , he just pretends to be a patient, but he doesn't have the patience, they use a Papoose Board , where I think this is madness and torture for the child, the assistant recommends giving benadryl 30 minutes before for the child to calm down,I already found something else strange. The dentist makes decisions automatically without clarifying to the the patient's parents, the last time he put 2 metal crown in my son's mouth where it was only to fill the 1 tooth, he didn't explain clearly what he was going to do, my son crying, screaming, tied up and sweaty and on top of that it hurt all his mouth. My son is autistic and he doesn't accept his tooth having these 2 metal crowns in his mouth, where he doesn't chew right on the side of the crown due to trauma, the clinic always knew that and they didn't have the sensitivity to act this way without at least asking me , they already put this crown, I complained, I didn't accept the way they treated me and even more said that if I wanted to change the crown for the color of the tooth he had to give general anesthesia and I had to pay and put the my son at risk.I don't recommend it to anyone, bad professional, please if you love your children didn't even go through the door.

image I called to make a NP appointment for my Mom, I left a message and even tried to call a few times. I never received a call back. Not very professional.

image I would have given this place 0 stars if it weren't for Dr. Andrew. He was always very thoughtful, patient, professional and you could tell he cared about his patients.Unfortunately, he's been out of office for awhile and has a replacement for the time being. This is the detailed account of our last visit to Ticket to Smiles:* Upon entering, the receptionist was not warm and friendly like she usually is. I brushed this aside because she might have been having a bad day.* The DA was also very cold to us. No smiles, no "how are you"s, no small talk. At this point, I gave everyone the benefit of doubt because I thought they might be having an off day at the office.* The female dentist was patient at first with my 3 year old (who has a disability that is STATED on the patient records). I understand that she needs to get work done and so she asked her DA to get a mouth lock (?) to pry open my son's mouth. I could tell she opened it too much and saw my son was uncomfortable. Thinking that the tooth brushing would be quick, I decided to let her do her thing.* The Horrible PartShe kept on jabbing the toothbrush inside my son's mouth, disregarding the fact that he was gagging repeatedly. This dentist did not give him any time to breathe between those uncomfortable moments. Even for us adults, gagging is not a nice feeling.*** It's important to note that my son has Dysphagia and Dr. Andrew has ALWAYS taken that into consideration when treating my son.* Just as I said, "He tends to vomit when he gags too much", my poor son vomited. She grabbed some paper towels in an "attempt" to help clean him up. I had to keep asking for paper towels while my son and I were both soaked in vomit. She kept handing them to me but apprehensively. I could tell the dentist was mad. The DA was standing in the corner staring at what was going on with her arms crossed, not saying a word or offering any help. The part that appalled me the most was when the dentist scoffed under her mask as she was wiping the vomit off of her scrubs, obviously more concerned about the vomit on her as opposed to her crying patient.Mind you, this is a CHILDREN'S dental clinic. There was absolutely no empathy, no concern or even an apology (I know no one owes us an apology. However, in this situation, it would've been appropriate). It was disappointing to see such behavior from "professionals". Going to the dentist can be scary for some children (like mine) and times like these will TRAUMATIZE them and not help get comfortable going to these places at all.* After I got my son settled, in a very pissed off voice, the dentist said "Just schedule for 3 months out".Receptionist was still the same as we made a follow up appointment.*** Will be finding another dental clinic. Dr. Andrew is awesome and I advice only going to Ticket to Smiles if it's Dr. Andrew who is treating your child.
