Saint Clare School

I recommend this school because it is a very good Catholic School. The principal and teachers are very nice and smart. My daughter has been going to this school since TK to 4th Grade! She has had a blast there!

We have been at St. Clare school and Parish since we moved to the neighborhood 16 years ago. We have seen Pastors, Priests, Principals, Teachers come and go but the St. Clare spirit is consistent and genuine over time. We gave to this community our time, talent and treasure and have formed some of our best long-term friendships here. The sense of history and community are truly special and now our children are well-adjusted, generous and well-educated, and prepared for their Catholic high schools. We attribute this to the love and teaching they got from their 9 years at St. Clare School.

We have been been part of the St. Clare School Community since 2014 and have been so happy with our experience. The curriculum is rigorous and I am confident both of my children are getting a good education. More importantly to me, though, the school fosters a strong sense of community and service toward others. Both my children feel loved and cared for by their teachers.

My family is new to the community this year with my child starting in TK, so I felt compelled to write  about our wonderful experience thus far. Due to COVID, the school year started virtually. I was impressed with the almost weekly communication sessions that the administration held and continue to hold to provide updates, which started weeks prior to the first day of school. The start of the school year went very smoothly and my daughter transitioned easily to the virtual school environment. After a few weeks of virtual learning--thanks to all the hard work and preparation of the staff, the implanting safe COVID protocols, and training parents on the protocols--we had the opportunity to transition to in person. My child absolutely loves her teacher (also new to the school is Ms. Jiang) and paraeducator (Ms.G). They are both so nurturing, caring, patient, and have energy that matches the young students. However, when I look at the St. Clare macro environment, I have realized that this is true for the whole staff (principal, office staff, teachers, and parish priests) and the families at the school. On top of that, we are equally impressed with the academic rigor. I could go on and on about our positive experiences. We are lucky to be a part of the community!

I have been part of the St. Clare community for over ten years and two children who have/are attending. The community is incredibly inclusive and supportive. Mrs. Mantecon started as the principal 3 years ago and she has brought so much leadership, vision and energy. She has breathed new life into the academic rigor, faith development and new ideas to strengthen the community and growth of our students. The administration, faculty and staff dedicate so much of themselves to make our children feel challenged, loved and seen. They have done an incredible job transitioning to distance learning and been very communicative in planning a safe return to school, offering options that work for the multitude of needs each family faces.
