San Carlos Movers

San Carlos Movers was so easy to work with. Friendly, efficient, and affordable. They showed up early, had me out of my old place in no time and fully moved into the new place all ahead of schedule. Both movers were very nice. Will definitely look to hire again for future moves.

They arrived underprepared and understaffed. We got dozens of nicks and scratches on our furniture and walls and witnessed some really bad decision-making with respect to packing. Pros: - They moved our stuff, or I suppose most of it - One of movers, I believe his name was Muhammad, was very careful in his packing. I would gladly hire him again. He wrapped a lot of our furniture with blankets, and packed a lot of the living room and kitchen. He labeled boxes and stopped the others from making bad decisions when he was around. - All our plates and cups and etc were intact with no harm - No major breakages Cons: - We ordered 4 movers and full pack service but somehow only 3 arrived on the day. The move took 8.5 hours with us helping, and one of the guys was careless. I was very tired but I would have preferred to pay them for longer hours in exchange for them being careful and not nicking our stuff. - They didn't have paper with them to wrap the kitchen dishes, so they asked us to go out to buy some. They also seemed to run out of boxes, blankets and other packing material. - We had particular issues with one guy, who was packing things carelessly (don't know his name, but he seemed to be the main guy). He was using large wardrobe boxes and even bigger containers and he was just sort of tossing things in there with no packing, with things often ending up on their side. For example, my shredder somehow ended up diagonally upside down with the top having fallen out, and shredded paper exploded in the box. - We asked that our drawers be removed from our furniture instead of the contents being put into boxes (this was a mistake), although we didn't insist on this heavily. I then warned the careless guy that the furniture set was very susceptible to scratches when he was carrying a drawer. I was expecting them to wrap the drawers. He said "I know how to do it" and pretty much dismissed me -- the drawers were not wrapped or protected. Well, all those drawers are now nicked and scratched up. This is the primary reason for the 3-star rating. - Someone wrapped our AC unit with our inflatable air mattress (the latter they were not even supposed to move). We suspect it has holes now. - The third guy (I think his name was Freddy) would jam the dolly under our furniture, which I think damaged it a bit. Sometimes, Muhammad stopped him from doing particularly sketchy stuff. Also the furniture would bend considerably on the dolly, which was disturbing to watch. - They didn't pack 100% of the things we asked them to, and they packed some things we asked them not to. The careless guy even seemed to demonstrate understanding what we asked not to pack, but later packed it anyway. - They decided some of our things were trash and threw them away Lessons: If I were to do this again, I would do a few things differently. - First off, I would probably pack everything myself. This would reduce the haphazard packing and presumably reduce time pressure, hopefully increasing the mover's quality of work. However, the few boxes we did pack ourselves didn't always end up right side up, so that was an issue. - Secondly, I would not remove the drawers from the furniture, as they almost all got damaged. The few drawers they left in the furniture all fared with no issues. - And thirdly, I would likely try another moving service. Muhammad was great but the other two movers were not very careful and did not demonstrate good judgement. Attached are pictures of some of the damage. Services: Moving-related packing, Local moving

We've been recommending Josue to our tenants for two years now and always get compliments from our tenants how good Josue's service is, but we needed movers in an emergency yesterday to help a tenant move from the 2nd floor to the 4th floor in one of our buildings, Josue was able to get his guys there first thing in the morning for us, got the tenants moved in less than an hour and saved the day on what could have been a customer service nightmare for me and my company. Thanks Josue and all the guys in your crew, you really are the best movers in San Carlos.

Daniel and his team were absolutely amazing. Very professional, knowledgeable, and always courteous and helpful! The service was outstanding and they did whatever it took to make the move go smoothly. Thank you!!

Heron and his crew were amazing and finished under time. Super professional and friendly, they put up with some changes we made to the start time with no problem. Very honest and clear about all of the rates and fees. Highly recommend this moving company!!
