Let me start by saying that Fernandez is not one who will try to "sell" you treatment that is not needed. He is well-versed in diagnosis and treatment that IS needed and is an excellent communicator. He offers image-radiography (meaning that the radiation dosage is far less than the old method that required chemicals to develop the X-ray films). Also, this means that patients can see the results of bone loss, cavities, etc. at chairside immediately! Additionally, Dr. Fernandez is an excellent chairside clinician. How do I know? I am one of his patients, but I am also a retired dentist, having been in practice for 35 years, and having taught at the two dental schools in San Francisco (UCSF and U. of Pacific). Another thing: Dr. Fernandez is GENTLE, and is excellent at treating fearful patients.Dr. Fernandez also offers a great office staff who are friendly, completely competent in handling dental insurance matters, and happy to answer any dental questions you might have. His hygienist and office manager/administrator have been with him for many years and are a reflection of the personal caring and consideration that only a small office can offer.
