Stay away from this lawyer!!!! He will farm out the work and bill the same as "costs" to get around the legal limits for medical malpractice attorneys fees. Don't count on Doug putting your interests first or being fair. You are scraping the bottom of the "lawyer barrel" with this guy.

​Working with Doug Fladseth was a nightmare. He worked on my friend's malpractice case, in which I was closely involved. I am a physician and knew from the start that my friend had an excellent case.  Doug neglected to address crucial issues, such as the basic competency of his client, from the start of the case. This caused a lengthy delay in the settlement. He also gave us erroneous information about conservatorship. If we had not known to research this further, we would have ended up with a difficult and expensive situation. Mr. Fladseth was not prepared to fully argue our case ​in mediation​, because he did not believe it would settle. It did settle, but I am convinced that we could have gotten a better deal if he was fully prepared and had fully prepared his clients. The only reason my friend got as much as he did in settlement is because I (a physician) and another friend (a lawyer) stepped in when we saw that Doug Fladseth was not doing an adequate job.  We would have changed lawyers at that point except that it would have caused an unacceptable delay.Lastly, Mr. Fladseth charged more than he promised would be the maximum amount because he farmed much of the work out to others and billed for their time.
