Tricycle Pizza | Order Online + In Person + By Phone

Hello Mr. Temple, your experience was an unfortunate one, rare, and 100% out of our control. Your order was ready 1 minute before the promised time 5:00. HOWEVER, someone came in at that promised time; gave us your full name and knew the pizzas ordered. So I gave them to him and his family. When you came in late 35 minutes after your promised pickup time and gave us the same name; it raised red flags of a scam (which has become more prevalent to us and other restaurants unfortunately) …where 2 people collaborate and try to pickup an order twice using the exact same pickup info. I had to take time to try to unravel this especially after some information you gave me was not matching such as: email address, phone number and previous order history. In your case as I mentioned to you in person, I didn't know if you were part of the scam or if it was the first "Chris" that was the scammer. Once again, it is horrible that you were caught in the middle of it and we are bummed that it happened to you; but we are glad that we still fulfilled this order twice, regardless. It took more time for your second order to be completed unfortunately and you had to wait, that was for two reasons: trying to verify, but even more so because by the time you picked up (35-ish mins late) we were already working on 6 orders at the time. We are always very busy Friday evenings. Your comment says there was no accountability on our part, but in fact I myself (the owner) handled this. I apologized to you that if in fact you weren't a scammer you had to wait extra time to complete this $70ish order since we were in the middle of the biggest rush. I would try to make it right but it seems like your mind has been made up. I wish I would not have had a "sense of rush" when I talked to you several times but the reason behind that was that I was trying to get an answer asap while leading the team in very busy time. Our successful record & reputation throughout this Peninsula over the past 12 years shows we care about our customers and we treat them like family. Are we perfect, no. Proud to say we make very minimal mistakes, but out of a thousand orders, something weird & unfortunate like this happens. I don’t like it either & hurts me and my family every time. It may seem like an overstatement but we care deeply. Your words; calling us an “amateur pizza joint” is kind of low of you but you are entitled to your opinion. We have thousands of customers here and throughout the U.S. that would disagree heavily, we are not perfect but we’re def. not amateur nor uncaring. Thank you for having our pizza multiple times, we do appreciate it and we wish you the best!
