Open discrimination against international visitors. We visited Solvang from London Uk. Went to rent a Surrey bike for the family- was asked to put down physical passport instead of drivers licence if we are from out of town. When we provided that, we then being refused rental as they require a US phone number. We offered to be contacted on WhatsApp with UK number and with our friends US number as emergency contact. Being rejected with rude manners and quoted due to company policy, when asked where is the policy in writing and on what grounds they are rejecting international visitors, they refuse and fail to produce anything in writing. The rest of Solvang was really nice, but these people are really rude and verbal company policy is openly discriminating against visitors who are non US residents. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

About the facts: Unfortunately we didn't get any bikes because we didn't have an American phone number. Why one was necessary was not even explained (WhatsApp was not sufficient, for example) The biggest point of criticism, however, relates to the service and direct communication. The employee was simply very unfriendly and we had the feeling of not being welcome. 1) He immediately said that delivery would be at 5 p.m. even though the store is open until 7 p.m. Justification is of course not given 2) Normal ID didn't work. I had to specially get our passports 3) Then he suddenly said he needed an American phone number. Apart from the fact that I don't understand the content, why didn't he tell me straight away!? Conclusion: I was already surprised that a bike rental company got a rating of less than 3.5 on Google, now I understand it. Very poor service, very unfriendly and obviously tourists are not welcome.

Their customer service sucks. They didnt refund us when it began raining. We tried emailing and calling the night before but they ignored us. They really suck and ruined my day.

My boyfriend and I had a blast renting bikes here! The bikes were in amazing condition and there were a lot of great options to pick from. Nick was very helpful and kind! We will def be renting from them again!

Came to Solvang wanting to have fun but instead ruining the rest of the day for everyone. Rented bikes for an hour and paying 50 dollars but instead rode for only 20 minutes. After being spoken to by Matt, he told us to pull over and stop riding. After being pulled over, my group asked to continue the rest of the ride or give a refund but Matt said no to giving us any of the options. My group started to get annoyed and talk to him about the options but wouldnt budge. He started to raise his voice at us and took away our bike away. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE.
