Hanson's Clock Shop

Purchased a clock for my husband as an anniversary gift. Chris was kind enough to send me photos of a few he had in stock since I lived out of the area. When we arrived to pick it up it was ready to go, his wife kindly unpacked it and showed my husband the correct way to set it up. They were very professional and attentive. I highly recommend their shop.

A watch store in Solvang. They mainly specialize in mechanical clocks, and I came to the store because I wanted a so-called cuckoo clock. There are all kinds of mechanical clocks in the store, and you can choose one that suits your budget and taste. As I looked around the store, I could tell that the owner knew that we were Japanese and was really concerned about us. Stunningly decorated items are expensive, but when you line them up side by side, they have a different presence. I wanted something orthodox and simple, so middle class? I chose one item. [Later story] When I immediately installed it on the wall of my house, I realized that it might have been a little larger. The accuracy changes depending on the balance of the pendulum, so I spent about a week making adjustments. Of course, it is not possible to make high-precision adjustments that allow even one second of error these days, but the quaint appearance is very nice.

These people are the real deal. I drove from Pismo to deliver a cuckoo clock for repair. Chris repaired it over the weekend and Catherine delivered it to me on Sunday because she was "going to SLO anyway". The clock works perfectly. This is my 2nd transaction at Hanson's and I can't say enough good about them. Highly recommended.
