image We received the apartment with stains on the carpet, and washer machine with hair from the previous residents. We talked with the administration and they said we should remove all our furniture to change the whole carpet (we just moved in one day before). We documented all the not-clean stuff. There are emails about it. When we moved-out, they charged us carpet cleaning and other cleaning jobs. We wrote Tommy about this more than once, and he didn't reply any email. Tommy Chan didn't care at all about how the apartment was given. People thinking on moving to this place: assume they will not give you a 100% clean apartment when you move-in, and when you move-out they will charge you for cleaning anyways. It doesn't really matter if you are right or not, Tommy Chan will not reply back about your complains because you are no longer a resident.

image The management of the building is awful. They have so many false fire alarms that my dog got traumatized. When we moved out they took almost one month to return our security deposit with insane utility discounts for the 11 days of the last month we stayed. We sent multiple emails to Tommy Chan, first asking for the details of the discounts because the app they use is always down and we did not have any response. Then we asked about the high utility discounts and we were ignored again. I do not recommend living here, the facilities are dirty, the managers are not responsive, the move-out process is a pain and they discount wherever they want without information.

Regarding the poor answer, you already made me pay for the utilities of the month previous to the move out, so did I pay utilities twice? Your management team and move out communication are a joke.

image This year will be my 10th year with SCS. Throughout the years the staff has rotated, but Jose (Maintenance), Tommy (Office) and Damion (Manager) have been consistent and are all great assets to SCS. The apartments are centrally located next to a Starbucks, Trader Joes, SSF Bart and Costco. It's a generally safe area aside from the stragglers we sometimes get from BART, but any concerns I've had, the office normally addresses it within a timely manner.

image I've been living in this apartment building for a year now, and I must say it's been a delightful experience. The management team here is top-notch; they're not only friendly but also incredibly efficient. Any issues that arise are addressed promptly, which is a huge plus for me. Specifically, once when my fob stopped working - it was fixed so quickly that it barely caused any inconvenience. The property is always clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasure to come home to. Another fantastic perk is having a Trader Joe's right downstairs. It's incredibly convenient for grocery shopping and had become a part of my daily routine. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my living experience here and would highly recommend this apartment building to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free home.
