I cant say enough good things about Westborough Royale, I am a private caregiver for a lady staying here, the staff are amazing & work as a team, everyone puts in 100% , a lot of the staff have been here for many years & love what they do, the administrator Bridget Kelly is truly amazing & runs this place with passion! This is the only care home Ive worked in that I would place a loved one, as Ive worked in many throughout the years & would not recommend, Westborough royale is truly a gem!

Having my dad there for the last 6 months I dont understand how they dont get a 5 star. They are working in a difficult time and environment and they have checked all my boxes. Since I am 60 years old this is my first review ever I hope I do it right. Thank You Westborough Royale

Over the past year, I have had the joy of serving a handful of residents at Westborough Royale as a home health physical therapist (I am not employed by Westborough). This place does have all the essentials you would want for your loved ones: wonderful clean spaces, great food and a calendar full of activities, but the thing that separates Westborough from all other assisted living homes is undoubtedly the staff. Even through the depths of the pandemic when the home was closed to non-essential visitors, the staff remained caring, attentive and committed to serving these residents. As a physical therapist, I have never met a staff team that was so eager, ready and willing to help these residents improve their mobility and quality of life as I have at Westborough. I can remember Hilda, one of the custodial workers, lending one of her own canes to a new resident to help her walk during PT while the resident waited for her daughter to order her own. I knew I could rely on the caregivers, such as Lillian and Izcaly, to go the extra mile by walking with residents outside of PT to keep them mobile and safe when the "easier" way would have been to keep residents in a wheelchair. This team is definitely not known for taking shortcuts. You can see their pride for their work in how the staff consistently goes above and beyond what is expected of them. Shirley is in charge of activities, but she really excels in creating a great sense of community among the residents. I love to see the residents just linger in the common areas between activities and for Shirley to just talk and reminisce with them. I have even seen Shirley recognize a new resident who was struggling with the change in her living situation and Shirley just spent time talking with this resident alone in the garden. By the way, the garden is immaculate--all thanks to Jesus, who is in charge of maintenance, and yet he does so much more. I am indebted to him for numerous occasions for helping me with fixing assistive devices and other tasks. Finally, I must highlight Westborough Royale's Executive Director, Bridget. Her experience and insight are absolutely vital to this team. I have never a met a director who knows so well the needs, preferences and difficulties for each resident. Working with her has made all the difference in helping our home health team deliver better care.As you can see, I really can go on and on about this staff. The above examples are just clear signs to me that this staff does not view this home as simply a job that they're punching in and out of. They truly care to serve the needs of these residents. I will say though that they are not miracle workers and there are inevitable health issues that will occur in this phase of life. But the staff at Westborough will help your loved ones feel at home in this place and care for their needs as best as possible. As someone who has worked for residents at other assisted living homes across the US (and around the Bay Area), I will say that Westborough Royale is absolutely the very best that I have seen.I also want to thank credit the other wonderful staff (and I'm sorry for those that I've forgotten to mention or didn't get a chance to meet):MariaEricElenaMaricelaCarmenGloriaAna
