We had an interesting experience at the Redwood Haus. The outside space was very eclectic and the host was very friendly over the phone. The inside space was outdated, messy and unkempt. Our room was advertised as a balcony room with an ocean view, but there were spiders at the entrance to the patio. I question the safety of the emergency fire ladder. My boyfriend got caught in a 90 minute conversation with the owners who lacked professional boundaries. The hotel is in a great location, but certainly not worth the money for what youre getting in my opinion.
Rooms: Like staying in your great uncles house in one of their spare bedrooms.
Nearby activities: Beach walk, ice cream, good food and drinks
Walkability: Good walkability to small shopping area/ food

Gets 5 stars for location. No frills but walk to beach, food and store. Rooms are tiny and could use an update.

Nice, quirky b&b.
My favorite feature is the VHS library and extensive succulent garden out front. Both the Crows Nest and Rose room are lovely. No frills, wonderful place to stay.

I was thinking of staying at this place but the owner's responses to previous reviews are so flippant and rude that I'm completely turned off from even considering it!
