Holiday Inn Los Angeles Gateway - Torrance, an IHG Hotel

Just about zero places to eat outside of hotel restaurant. Burger is good, but everything else was not. Chicken sandwich was so salty I could barely eat it. All in my party had poor experiences with the food here. Impossible to miss the smell that testifies this used to be a smoking property. It is faint, but still lingers. Office buildings and warehouses welcome you all around. Vacation spot this is not. Staff is friendly and hotel is fairly clean. Comfy beds and tidy rooms. California prices will have your wallet empty quickly here. It is a business type of hotel. It ain't grand, but I have stayed at much worse ones. Solid meh.

Rooms are kind of small, well I think they just put to much furniture inside. The bed was comfortable. They did have black out drapes and a mini fridge which is nice. Staff was nice. Felt very safe at this property Safety: Felt Extremely safe. You have to have a room key to use the elevator. Also they do not allow delivery drivers upstairs. Food & drinks: I tried to order room service but nobody ever picked up the line. It had a message on room service voice mail that hadn't been updated since February.

No smart tv No gift shop. No microwave in room. Only microwave located downstairs in hotel lobby. Very inconvenient. Customer service upon check in, shabby. No bell hop. Had to luggage cart own items to room. Misleading information on dining room hours that states it closes at 11:00 a.m., when actually closes at 10:00 a.m. very inconsistent and inconvenient if one decides to sleep late! Not to mention that staff not really people friendly at all. No formal greeting upon arrival the kind of thing is prevalent and not visionary let along customer based. Would not recommend more stay here again.
