I moved into 914 N. Eucalyptus apartment #119 Inglewood Ca, 90302 in November of 2018. I was informed that the previous tenant had lived in the unit for many years but recently was deceased. Due to this untimely demise, the apartment unit had not been renovated. I was asked If I was comfortable occupying the unit immediately and allowing the renovations to occur while I was in the unit. Due to circumstances and a short timeframe, I had no other choice but to agree to the renovations occurring after I moved in. I was told that the carpet, vinyl, bathroom tiles, painting, and glazing the bathroom tub amongst other repairs would be made. Due to constant changes with on-sight management, the promised repairs did not occur. During the one year I was a resident at that property there were four different managers, the last direct management I interacted with was a woman that collected rent in the courtyard area of the complex. The original manager that did my walk-through moved out of the complex leaving me with no clear point of contact to go to for repairs to be completed. Due to this reason, I submitted a 30day notice, I moved out of the unit in November 2019. I submitted the 30day notice to the same woman who collected the rent because there was no on-sight management or return communication from any staff. The apartment was left clean with no remaining items, I was instructed to leave the keys in the mailbox along with a forwarding address. Even though I requested to have someone do a walk-through with me and sign off on the unit, no staff returned any communication. At no time did I receive any contact about the apartment from management. Years later I found this charge on my credit for the apartment repairs as I was applying to purchase a home. I was never provided any breakdown of charges or notice of a charge. Furthermore, the unit was never brought to a standard agreed upon, and any repairs or clean-up that was made should not be charged to me. I did not receive my deposit or any information and it is my belief that the charges are in error or even fraudulent.
