Stagecoach Hill Azalea Nature Trail, California State Parks

Quite the beautiful spot. The azaelas are just starting to send up buds. There were a lot of fallen trees since my last visit. I must have missed a BIG wind storm.

This is a short loop trail. Part of it was freshly bushwhacked when we had completed the loop [west side of the trail where the ocean is visible]. The view was okay. I will say the drive was well kept when we had gone [August]

Peaceful hike though the flowers. This is a rarely visited trail with lots of flowers. Best time to go is in May and June. The trail is a little grown over but still nice

I took a stroll down the Stagecoach Hill Azalea Nature Trail in Humboldt, A half-mile loop, with a few big ol' trees toppled over that you gotta climb, and some parts so wild and grassy they almost swallow the path. If you're a fan of nature in all its raw glory and don't mind a little adventure, Im sure you'll appreciate this hidden gem as much as I did.

FABULOUS! Best time to visit is usually mid-June but much is in bloom a month beforeandafter. A true world wonder! Be sure to stop and sniff them occasionally!
