This is a very hard city to get anything built without having to deal with power tripping and abuse of power. So many horror stories of people having to deal with building inspectors that wait until the last minute to tell you something is wrong, so you have to rip apart your entire project, lose a lot of money , time and effort that you put into anything, like building a bbq or a pool, extension to house or an ADU. Very picky inspectors and it seems like they come up rules and change it any time they want without updating you with the correct information. You will lose a lot of money when this happens and there is no accountability for it! Makes me hate them and all the contractors involved will too.

When I think of city establishments, I associate them with long wait times and poor customer service. You will get the complete opposite here. The person I spoke to over the phone was friendly and quickly followed up on a question I had regarding a business permit. Thank you for proving that genuinely good customer service is not a thing of the past.

Quick response. Friendly and professional. I called several other county/city but none of them picked up on a weekday!
