Hampton Inn Vallejo

Location may be good for those going to the park, but I chose this hotel for the price, others were charging about 25% more plus parking. As such I ran into traffic from 101 on 37 and took more than an hour on 37 (next morning this same road only took 10 minutes), so checking of traffic conditions is recommended. Parking was rather hard to find but at least a permit was not required. Digital key worked but not the elevator which made the walk to the room longer. Elevator was painfully slow. Room was OK, and clean but a bit noisy as it was on the roadway side. Only a 7-11 was in walking distance for food.

No response from hotel manager for follow up. Ants in my room as I woke up at 2 am covering the bed. It came from the wall and not the window.

Weve stayed here many times in the last year. Chris at the front desk always takes great care of us! Debbie at breakfast in the morning is amazing as well and is just great with our kids. Looking forward to many more stays at this top notch property!

Avoid this place at all costs if you are looking for a safe hotel! We checked in at midnight and the person working there gave us entry to the wrong room. People were sleeping in there and a large dog came running to the door when I opened it. Luckily I slammed it shut in time. Turns out the worker though our names were something else (after checking id's....) and gave us the the key to a room that had already been checked in. He then had to double charge us the deposit and would only refund part of it in cash, not back on the card. It took a long time to fix this and we were just exhausted and felt extremely unsafe. The next morning the same employee called my personal phone repeatedly and texted repeatedly at 7 am to give the cash back. I was on a work call and this was extremely unprofessional and disruptive. Especially with us not getting to our room until after 1am. I was absolutely shocked. Even without this alarming situation.. the whole hotel smells like dog pee and it doesn't look anything like the photos. Wayyy more run down and unappealing. I paid more to stay at a what I thought was going to be nicer hotel....cant even put my disappointment into words.
