Mark R. Maher, DDS

Let me start by saying I never enjoy going to any dentists, but I go my three times a year to avoid going anymore than I have to. I had to switch due to my insurance plan, so a co worker suggested Dr. Maher. I went for my consultation where he gets "to know my mouth". He did a thorough exam and explained everything. He was so personable and the front office staff is amazing. They made the switch to a new office so easy. The location is perfect for me since I dork down the street. Parking can be a little tricky depending on the time of your appointment. The next day I followed up with a cleaning. My dental hygienist was very nice. I took away one star because every time she would rinse me, it took her forever to get the sucking tool to get the water out of my mouth and I was left just holding water for longer than expected. I'm used to holding the suction tube myself or the hygienist having it their other hand instead of having to put tools down to grab it. I scheduled my next appointment for April, so I'll give them another go.

I strongly do not recommend Mark Maher. This dentist's bedside manners leave a whole lot to be desired. It is not going to happen again: I cancelled future visits to this office for myself and for the rest of my family.

Working with this dentist could not be easier or better!  Always the best results, best service, best experience, best price.  I have sent a ton of family and friends here and they all say the same thing.  As a bonus, it is a great feeling supporting a veteran-owned business (thank you for your service, Major Maher, DDS!).

This isn't so much a review of Dr. Maher but his office manager. I've been coming here (previously Dr. Skibba's practice) for close to 10 years. In those years my life has changed. I got a better job, one with more responsibilities... I'm a first responder now and work in a critical industry. I never call in sick, I never miss appointments. But, I work a job where they can stick you, call you in, and you have to show up. The day I was supposed to show up at 1300 for a routine cleaning appointment I had just worked 4 straight nights, and then been called in again for my 5th straight night shift. So, I could not make this apt. I had to sleep so I could go back into work. Mind you, in 10 years of giving this office my business, I've never missed an apt, been late or canceled. Yet the office manager continues to send me notices to pay a $50 cancellation fee. I know of no other dentists office that does this. But I will not be back. Enjoy my last $50. I hope you choke on it.
