        Dr. Garbutt has refused to fill 2 of my blood pressure medications in the last three months. No explanation, just denied, having to go back and forth with CVS. In December of 2021, my back went out and could hardly walk. Asked if Dr. Garbutt could prescribe a non controlled muscle relaxant, and it took 4 calls and a total of 7 days to get this prescribed. I had just seen him for the back pain, although a muscle relaxant like Skelaxin wasnt prescribed. Even nurses didnt understand his actions for denial with no explanation. Same goes for the bp meds. CVS actually gave me 15 days worth of lisinopril as they even felt that withholding bp meds could be dangerous to my life. I did go in for an appointment, gave blood, and have a near future appointment with a different doctor. Why would any doctor withhold a blood pressure med? Now legal, Im pursuing negligence. I have kept anecdotals on these 3 events. To be fair, his nurses and office staff are the best I can ever remember having.

      Dr. Elkayam is a board-certified Family Medicine physician. He earned his medical degree from the American Medical Program at Tel Aviv University School of Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Southwest Healthcare in Temecula, CA, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Elkayam is fluent in English and Hebrew. He specializes in treating patients with Diabetes, Obesity, and Heart Disease. He also has vast experience in Geriatric, Women’s and Pediatric health, as well as outpatient procedures. He became a doctor to help people live healthier lives, and enjoys working with his patients to create customized care plans to help them reach their health goals. He is approachable and a good listener, as well as a problem solver and a strong communicator. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, traveling and spending time with family.
