Dream Home Board &Care

Dream Home Board & Care has been an AMAZING HOME for my elderly mom and my older brother who has a disability & health issues!  In 2019, we had to make the painful decision to move them from our childhood home and their home of 60 years into a place where they could get 24 hour care. At first, we found a wonderful board & care in West Hills but the owner went out of business after just a few months, but she found  Dream Home for us & we've never looked back. Karine & her team of caregivers at Dream Home  are experienced professionals AND have been like family to my mom & brother, attending to all of their needs, always working with us to make sure they have all the right care and supporting them to have a good life.  And the extra bonus?  This is a beautiful, well-kept home, sparkling clean, with a beautiful living room, dining room, back patio and yard, NOT a clinical facility like other places we looked at.  My mom and brother each had their own rooms with furniture, but we were also able to add all of their favorite things. Pre-Covid & then more once everyone was vaccinated, our family has been able to visit whenever we want & celebrate all of their special events together & take them on family outings. Our priority was always to keep them together & in a place that would feel like home, and we've accomplished that at Dream Home. Sadly, our mom just passed away last month at the age of 87 but she had the best of care and we know that she was able to go peacefully because she knew her beloved son was well-taken care of and in a wonderful place. We are so lucky my brother has Karine & all the caregivers to look after him in this time of grief and to help him through this as he continues to battle his own health issues.  I would give Dream Home 10 stars if I could...if you are looking for a place for your loved one with top-notch care that feels like a home, STOP LOOKING & bring them to Dream Home. It was the best decision we ever made for my mom & brother.

I have visited many care homes and facilities for the last five years and DREAM HOME BOARD & CARE is the BEST by far.   The love and special attention to each resident's needs are exceptional.  They take each person's needs, style, and personality into consideration for every detailed need.  The food is outstanding and always fresh.   Cleanliness is A+, every time.........which is so amazing to me.  First, my father was there with some dementia issues & a few years later my mother was also with declining health issues and both were well taken care of.

Excellent !  Dream home is extremely clean and the food is HOME MADE from scratch!  and very tasty and exceptionally healthy.    (like a five star restaurant....seriously) .  First I placed my father, and now my Mother also.  Dream home is - in a category all by itself.  There is no turn over in caregivers  (which speaks to the owners character) and they are exceptionally qualified in their field.  Each caretaker , cares for  each person on an individual basis and adjust to each persons needs.  They stay  in close relationship to the family members of residents as well. There is no comparison , to the 2 other places they were before .   I highly recommend Dream Home of West Hills.

Excellent !  I placed my Father at Dream Home about 10 months ago and He is so happy and well taken care of.  Before being at Dream home he was a nice facility but the workers were not consistently the same & food was like cafeteria food.   Dream home is extremely clean and the food is home made and exceptional! (like a five star restaurant....seriously) .  I went to alot of places , and this one is in a category all by itself.  The caregivers are consistently the same (which speaks to the owners character) and they are exceptionally qualified in their field.  They truly care for each person on an individual basis and adjust to each persons needs.  They stay  in close relationship to the family members of residents and keep on top of residents needs, preferences and health . Guess one can say I am a big fan and advocate of exceptional care at Dream Home Board & Care.

My 45 year old son has been a resident of Dream Home Board and Care for about six months.  Our boy suffers from both MS and Grand Mal seizures.  The upshot of which is he has significant brain damage, and at a very young age he cannot take care of himself.  Prior to going to Dream Home he was at a larger, corporate owned care facility.  Dream Home is a night and day difference from the "corporate care" provided by his previous facility.  The folks at dream home are truly "care givers" in every sense of the term.  They are wonderful caring, hands on, people.  I cannot say enough about good things about them.  They interact with our son constantly.  He is not just another resident.  The food is rather good interestingly enough..  And by the way, importantly, our son's UCLA doctors all have said that he is "presenting" better than he has in years.  God bless the care giver team at Dream Home.
