This place ruined my quality of life. This is more a critique of the woman this office contracts out to do their root canals. It has been a few years, but after my root canal here I experienced pretty bad post nasal drip, an issue I'm still dealing with to this day. I went in a couple times pre-covid and the only thing they offered was to either wait it out or just prescribe me more antibiotics. I'll never step foot in this office again.

Incompetent people they cant seem so take information over the phone the receptionist needs a hearing aid.

Been to several DDS in the Whittier area for the last 30 years. St Marys DDS stands out from the rest. All the dentist are great, especially the owner. The office is kind and provide excellent service.

New nice building and spacious parking lot but not trustworthy service. I learned that old dentist and hygienist I used to see weren't there anymore. My disappointment was that this dental office wouldn't clean your teeth unless you agree with what they've diagnosed. I only got there to clean my teeth but was suddenly diagnosed with five cavities and told to agree with their plan of treatments, which would be done all together with cleaning process. I couldn't believe the diagnosis. I've managed my teeth very carefully all these years because I had an extensive gum treatment history 25 years ago; my major issues had always been gum health, not teeth. And I had zero cavities when I had to let go of multiple teeth due to significant bone loss under the gum. Since then, I've managed my dental health pretty well, focusing on regular exams and cleaning while keeping my daily thorough cleaning habits. Most dentists I've met offered consistent opinions that my teeth have been kept clean and well but be aware that my gum has been gradually weakened due to bone loss...Now, this new dentist told me I had five cavities, showing me photos they took. To me they were more like thin stains on the wrinkles on top of teeth, but the dentist insisted that the stains covered the cavities. I doubted how the dentist knew even without cleaning the stains. So, I visited another dentist, whom my next door neighbor has been visiting for years, for a second opinion, bringing the X-rays I took from this dental office. The dentist my neighbor introduced did a very thorough cleaning, saying pretty similar words to all the other dentists that the bone strength under my gum is the major concern but there's NO sign of decay or anything that needs urgent treatment. I usually believe what people say, but this experience taught me that I need to listen to my gut feelings when it seems not right.

I've been coming here since 2016. This is the only place I trust for my teeth.  The dental hygienist (Priscilla) and the dentist are extremely competent.  I went in for my procedure and felt comfortable asking questions. The dental hygienist even took the time to show me how to use my waterpik. I will continue to refer my family and friends.
