The Stand - American Classics Redefined

It was busy, however service was excellent! Food was incredible. I got the ahi burger, my husband got the French dip burger. Delicious! We ended with a brownie and cookie baked in house and was perfect to top off the meal.

My husband and I decided to try The Stand for lunch. I ordered the tuna on a pretzel bun with a side of sweet potato fries. My husband ordered the brisket on a pretzel bun. He loved his sandwich, said the meat was moist, cooked properly, the bun tasted fresh and was soft. When my order arrived it was a turkey sandwich and it wasn't on a pretzel bun. The server said he could take it back, but I was hungry and the restaurant was busy being lunch. Once I started eating it my mouth started to tingle and I knew immediately it had peppers of some sort in it and I flagged down our server and told him what happened. He felt bad, and knew that it wasn't what I ordered, so he went right to the kitchen and had the kitchen make what I originally ordered. Ten minutes later I had my fish sandwich and it was delicious. My mouth stopped tingling and the rest of the lunch went off without a hitch. I just wonder why so many dishes, including like the turkey sandwich I got served, have to have nightshade peppers placed into the mix? Anyway, the gal who took over the situation was extremely helpful and she made sure I was okay and that the fish sandwich was okay and it was. Dietary restrictions: I have a nightshade allergy, this means I am allergic to eggplant, tomatoes, and certain peppers like chili peppers and bell peppers, and potatoes. This establishment offers sweet potato fries (they look like waffle fries) which I can have and they make them tasty. So, if you have a nightshade allergy you might want to get a side of their sweet potato fries. Parking: They have a parking lot and parking is free.

Always love the stand - French onion burger is the bomb! This place is way better than the ones in Irvine. Full bar, huge place right in the corner all open, very nice place.

Great service, drink and food. The fire sauced wings and French onion burger are amazing!!
