Dr Essien changed my life!!! If you want a dr to tell you stories and make you feel good, he is not the one. But if you want good advice and a great outcome of the surgery, definitely choose him. And the team @ MVSA (Mfon, Diane) is great and very supportive!!!

Had a gastric bypass with Dr. Essien November of 2023 and he did an amazing job! I literally felt zero pain and was up and going literally less than a week! Ive now lost 100lbs and I couldnt be happier. I wish I wouldve done it sooner. Him and his staff are super friendly and caring Id definitely recommend him to anyone thinking of getting weight loss surgery.

Usually I do not leave reviews. I got my surgery done at this facility with this doctor he was very knowledgeable and he made me feel very comfortable and walked through what surgery is gonna be like. The Doctor is not a miracle worker. Now it's up to me to do my part.

Where do I begin? Upon first meeting Dr. Essien he was very professional, welcoming, and understanding. He allowed me time to speak and ask questions in regards to my procedure. His bedside manner is elite. He literally kept my husband and I laughing almost the whole visit while maintaining professionalism. The day of the procedure he spoke to my husband and I before to reiterate what he was doing and what to expect afterwards. My follow up appointment was also nothing short of amazing. His MA is very nice as well as his front office staff. My procedure went incredibly smooth and I highly recommend Dr. Essien. Thank you so much for taking great care of me doctor. Candi S.
