CANIS - Dog Behavior & Training (Valley)

Brent and his team are top notch, super knowledgeable and extremely talented trainers. Their enthusiasm for dogs is evident in their passion for understanding and analyzing every dog that that train. Its definitely not a one size fits all type of training. Not everyone can work with aggressive dogs and Brents education and background has led him to being one of the very best in his field.

When my husband and I found out that I would be needing brain surgery, we contacted Canis to enroll our dog, Kooper, in their board and train program because we knew he would be in excellent hands and also learn a thing or two while I was in recovery. I am so glad we made this decision! The team was super responsive anytime we called to check in on Kooper, which was super important to me because I was worried about him being away from us for 4 weeks. Not only were the Canis staff super responsive, but they didnt mind that multiple family members of mine would call to check in for me at times. Brent and his team truly care so much about the dogs in their program! We saw such an immediate change in Koopers obedience upon picking him up once he was ready to graduate! We are so pleased with how much he learned and how much time and patience Brent spent with my husband and me to teach us basic skills and tools for maintaining what Kooper learned. My favorite part about the Canis program is the lifetime training sessions that come with the board and train package. We enjoy getting to meet weekly for the alumni classes with other graduates from the program. I would highly recommend Canis to anyone looking for a great obedience program for their dog!

CANIS- Dog B&T is worth every penny. I bought a new puppy shortly after my precious 13 year old dog passed trying to healnot realizing what attention the puppy would take. 13 years ago I had time to devote to training, today not so much. After 6 months of battling with the decision of having to leave her in a strange home for 5-6 weeks, but also being dragged on walks and being pinned against walls the decision finally wore on me AND it was the BEST DECISION I made for the BOTH of us. While in training, I would get messages and receive pictures and updates on my request Im an anxious person so everyday. I was also a little worried her spunk would be gone but no its still there, only now she is able to follow commands and has social etiquette in public. I feel as though I have more freedom to go out with her. I feel safe knowing that shes going to present herself in high regardsespecially being a bully breed. As an owner of a bully breed dog, taking responsibility of how she behaves in public is really important to me, Elphaba receives compliments everywhere she goes about being a good listener. Training still continues every weekend, compliments of the 4-6 week program purchasewhich is a wonderful way to keep up on the techniques and methods. Im also able to use the same training methods with my other dogs. The whole team does a wonderful job explaining concepts and answering all of my questions. Being part of the CANIS Family has been the best addition to my life. Thank you for everything, Elphaba loves you all so much!

We cant say enough good things about Canis. Brent and the entire team are life savers and we will always be thankful for all they have done in training our Roxy. We were introduced to Canis as our 10 month old German Shepherd puppy was told she was a red zone dog and would never be good around people. We called Canis and were made to feel hopeful in what they told us. After the call we set up an evaluation at their Valley location. Brent met us at the car and although the dog was aggressive he calmly took her leash and within 5 minutes, she was sitting on his lap giving kisses. We signed her up for the one month intensive class, which she excelled. In the one year since, we have continued to use Canis for training, boarding and doggy fun days. The Canis team is friendly, highly trained, caring, and have become family. Thank you Canis for all you have done for us.
