Wayne has been my guitar teacher since 2017, and in that time I have progressed from beginner into solid intermediate/advanced territory, starting with acoustic guitar and moving to electric. Wayne's support and guidance has been a huge part of this progress. Wayne understands the balance between letting a student explore vs dictating a practice schedule, and we end up somewhere in between. I have plenty of room to roam, but he provides a weekly practice schedule which helps me stay on track and know what to focus on in order to reach my goals. Regarding goals - he never dictates goals, and understands that a student's passion is what leads to progress, and that there are many directions to go with guitar, and it must be up to the student to find their path (with support, encouragement, suggestions, etc.). Example: "You're into harmonic minor?" -> "Cool, let's talk about why that sounds the way it does, and here are a few songs to check out, and a fretboard diagram for a common harmonic minor key". He clearly values the overall relationship with the student, and not just during the lesson. I can tell he is thinking about my playing issues between lessons - doing research, trying things, asking other students, etc. He'll often email me a few days after a lesson with additional thoughts on a particular challenge I am having, or some new material to check out. And he is always prepared for our lesson, having obviously reviewed things for a few minutes beforehand. I have had several prior teachers, and believe that Wayne is the most balanced teacher with the best perspective on most things. On topics such as ear training, right hand mechanics, speed, fretboard theory, etc, he has seen it all, and in most cases ends up in a middle of the road approach, which works the best for most people most of the time. This is hard to describe, but it is important. As a guitar player, you can go online and find all kinds of wacky suggestions for "increase your speed" or whatever, and a lot of it is super specific and really misleading. Logistics are easy and reliable. In the 4 years (200ish lessons), I cannot remember a single time when Wayne has cancelled or rescheduled a lesson, and there have been no issues or nuisances with payment, etc. He has access to all the useful online guitar tools and has introduced me to several of them - Truefire, for example. Lesson prices are high, but my past experiences have led me to believe that with guitar lessons, you get what you pay for. Finally, and probably most importantly, Wayne is easy to get along with, makes lessons fun, and I have to say that I am having an absolute blast with guitar these past 4 years. Some of that is the progress and the practice, but some of it is that he has helped me find what is most inspirational for me, and has kept me on a steady uphill track. Wayne is a great guitar teacher, an absolute master of his craft.

Wayne Daniels is an awesome guitar instructor. He is very good at custom tailoring lessons to your ability and musical tastes, literally across every genre of music. He also works well with all ages. My 16 year old son started with him at the age of 6, and Ive been working with him for years as well. In addition to lessons, he also occasionally connects his students through informal jam sessions and concerts. Ive gotten a lot out of my time with him, and highly recommend him for beginners and advanced players alike.

Boulder Guitar Coach, Wayne Daniels, is a fabulous teacher! As a parent, I could not be more happy about Waynes positive and individualized approach. He has kept my son engaged and motivated for over 8 years, which is remarkable. In addition to his gifts as a teacher, Wayne is an excellent guitarist and a true inspiration to his students of all ages. He brings intelligence and thoughtfulness to his teaching and models these traits beautifully. He also brings joy, laughter and creativity into his lessons. Im delighted my son has grow up with such a great role model as Wayne! My son is now a young man and an accomplished guitarist who still benefits greatly from his lessons with Wayne. Learning guitar and musicianship with Wayne has brought him so much joy and confidence over the years. Wayne builds strong bonds with his students and I have no doubts that hell be supportive of my sons musical life for many years to come.
