A beautiful walk if only more dog owners followed the leash rules. Dog-friendliness: Part of Boulder's voice and sight tag parks, which is great. Unfortunately, all too many people do not leash their dogs in the parking lot or for the first 50 yards or so once entering the park.

Five stars from me. INFINITY stars from Luna. This is basically a dog park. Youll very rarely see anyone here who doesnt have a dog. Every dog looks like he or she is in absolute heaven. Its so much fun to see so many happy dogs. Lets clear up the leash rules, as the few negative reviews seem to be from people whove misinterpreted the OSMP leash signage. The sign says your dog must be on leash UNLESS you meet OSMP voice and sight program requirements. Those requirements are: registration with the Boulder OSMP voice and sight program, current tags displayed, and maintain the dog under voice and sight control at all times (your dog must have reliable recall). I have seen OSMP rangers here checking tags. The vast majority of people youll see at Dry Creek are in fact following these rules. I almost always find the dogs here to be friendly and well-trained, and the owners to be attentive and responsible, but youre still probably going to be approached by at least one off-leash dog here without the owner expressly asking permission. Im not saying thats OK just being frank. So, if your dog is reactive, aggressive, or you just generally do not want to be approached by other dogs, this is probably (sadly) not the place for you. The trail is nice and flat. Love the creek, especially in the summer, as theres no shade.
