SavATree was founded by Ralph Robbins in 1978 with a single objective in mind; to save trees from the devastating effects of repeated defoliations by the Gypsy Moth Caterpillar (Lymantria dispar). While this moth was accidentally introduced into the United States by French entomologist Leopold Trouvelot in 1868, it was not until the late 1970's that the population exploded in the Northeast. Ralph, a graduate of Paul Smith's college and entrepreneur at heart, saw an opportunity to make a difference in support of tree preservation and care.

Aspen Tree planted most of our trees over seven years ago. We started with minimal trees on our property and have gradually grown our own forest. It has been amazing working with Jason, John, and the entire crew. Our trees are thriving (see photos!). We rely on Aspen Savatree for quarterly services and we always have personal access to tree advice and treatments as needed. Aspen is a huge asset to our community.

14 trees planted last spring chosen at their recommendation. Watered diligently according to instructions every 2-3 days all summer/fall. More than 1/2 not making it. Will not stand by their products if there is no irrigation system even if watered properly. Their printed material says ' We are committed to "100% customer satisfaction" although in my case less than 50%. Very disappointed. Service: Tree planting

Hello Maddy, thank you for letting us clarify that you were not our actual customer and the trees were sold to the previous owner of the house. We explained verbally and in writing that the trees would not be guaranteed without an automated watering system as it is very time consuming and difficult to provide that much water by hand, especially when a home is going to be listed for sale. We are sorry you are unhappy and will happily discount new trees for you if you should want them replaced. We wish you the best of luck on your new home and hope your trees thrive in the future.

Good service. Tony the arborist handling out account is a very good professional. BUT the service is VERY expensive. Services: Tree trimming & pruning, Tree removal
