I was extremely dismayed by the treatment I received from the shuttle driver at the Denver Airport's Airport Van Rental.
- The driver was extremely rude. He seemed like a ticking time bomb ready to explode at any moment.
- He requested a tip for service from each passenger before getting on the shuttle. A refusal to tip resulted in hostile threats and intimidation. He threatened to refuse bringing us to the airport. This is a severe breach of service conduct and quite frankly, unacceptable.
- The driver, not surprisingly, denied being an official employee of Economy Rental. He sneered and stated that he is merely an associate of a company that Economy Rental contracts transport duties to.
- I went to confirm with the Economy Rental if this was the right shuttle. They confirmed it was and the driver was to take us to the airport.
This shuttle driver was unbelievably unprofessional, bordering on fraudulent. His shady attempts to exploit customers to pay for the FREE shuttle is appalling.
I hope AVR takes this seriously and takes corrective action!
